Driving In The Hatta Desert

Driving in the Hatta Desert was AWESOME. Seriously, my most favorite driving class ever. And because it's about driving, I've posted it under my defensive driving habits blog.

But while you're here, answer the following: What do ripples in the sand indicate to the desert driver?

  1. It just occurred to me that I never answered the question. You've waited patiently. Thank you!

Yes, it's hot, it's a dune and there is wind. But what it really tells us is how hard the sand is underneath.

The fact that there are ripples means that it's harder than the sand with no ripples...and driving in soft sand increases the likelihood that you will need to use your getting un-stuck skills.

Go ahead. Comment.
You know you want to.
And I love hearing from you.
