Unfortunately, the pups eyes are still closed. They only nurse and don't eat real food or drink water. So they can't be separated. I've read that gerbils eat babies if there is an infection or sickness and they don't want it to spread to the others.

This morning we still had 3 pups. That's a relief! Hopefully, we still will when we get home this afternoon.Bridgethttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17064616370181183885noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6143246399058466248.post-25000433007268525392013-01-15T07:33:22.373-08:002013-01-15T07:33:22.373-08:00Awfull!!Awfull!!Cameyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13763578422371467833noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6143246399058466248.post-39894331405961216372013-01-15T01:05:55.125-08:002013-01-15T01:05:55.125-08:00Maybe she needs more protein? And if the pups are big enough to run around labyrinths, aren't they big enough to be separated from their... Praying mantis mom? Maybe she considers them competition? And is defending her food?Athena125https://www.blogger.com/profile/16561084298543410365noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6143246399058466248.post-30541385278203979952013-01-14T22:27:30.018-08:002013-01-14T22:27:30.018-08:00I just left a long comment, and then the computer ...I just left a long comment, and then the computer freaked out and wasn't connected to the internet for a second and it's LOST.
But in summary: I'm NEVER EVER getting a gerbil. And your video grossed me out, but probably because I have babies.Paigehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14905198328657702443noreply@blogger.com
